The Golf Courses of Vancouver Island
Olympic View Golf Club

Tranquility. Nature.

The Olympic View Golf Club is located just 20 minutes from Victoria on the savory southern tip of Vancouver Island.

The Olympic View Golf Club boasts tranquility and nature with a variety of golf holes that constitute individual masterpieces that meld together to form a larger work of golf art. The magnificence of the Olympic Mountains, roar of two spectacular waterfalls, harmony of eagles soaring and deer grazing, calmness of twelve lakes and the stylish rock outcroppings deliver an award winning golf experience. If some of the golf shots on this target venue quicken your pulse, the tranquility of our setting should help to calm and center you. It’s no wonder this was the first course in British Columbia that Tiger Woods played, as an amateur in 1994.

Nestled deep inside a pristine Vancouver Island forest, Olympic View first impresses as you survey the horizon from the first tee, the staggered peaks of the Olympic Mountains seem to pierce the sky above. The seventeenth hole encompasses enough natural beauty for an entire course. From the tee, aim toward a 40 foot hawaiianesque waterfall that frames the green 417 yards away. This signature hole plays through a steep, narrow valley past a huge rock column and a Japanese garden.

Your round at Olympic View concludes beside a stylish clubhouse with floor to ceiling windows and a wrap around patio overlooking hole #1, 10 and 18 . The west coast contemporary cuisine at Forester's Bistro and Bar teamed with the panoramic views and full banquet facilities tantalize your senses for as many as 300 guests.

Olympic View hosts the award winning GBC Golf Academy.  The instructional team is led by Director of Instruction John Randle and Lead Instructor Lori Randle. John and Lori are winners ofthe PGA of BC’s coveted “Teacher of the Year” award in 2002, 2006 and 2007, andprovide truly world-class instruction.  A full range of instructional products include private and group lessons, corporate clinics and multi-day Golf Schools.  Once voted the “Best Practice Facility in BC”, the large natural grass driving areas, realistic target greens, and short-game practice areas provide the setting needed to take your game to the next level, whether a beginner or expert player.

At Olympic View you will always receive authentic, friendly service.
Escape to tranquility and nature.

GOLFER'S
COMMENTS

“Our guests enjoyed Olympic View as much as any other course on the entire World Cruise.”
  - John Clark, CPGA

“I’ve found the staff at Olympic View to surpass most of the other courses and facilities for tournaments I’ve attended.  It is their excellent attention to the small details that really make a difference to the experience of our guests.”
  - G. Miskulin

“Our convener set the whole tournament up in a very professional manner.  Great email communication, preparation and coordination, including a price package that was reasonable, especially given the way were treated at the course – like rock stars!  Our group of wannabe’s has never been treated so well.  We have been playing 4 tournaments a year for 11 years around Victoria.  Olympic View is clearly in the business of attracting golfers to its venue.”
  - Kevin Worth – Spring Solstice Event

“What a pleasure to work with the Olympic View staff.  The convener’s attention to detail is remarkable and truly appreciated.  The team goes above and beyond on event day and I thoroughly enjoy working with Olympic View.”
  - Heidi Barlow Lee – Heidi Barlow Lee Events

"Our Event Coordinator made sure every detail was perfect. It made my job so easy. All of the staff were great and smiling ‐ which makes everyone happy. “
  - Daryl Kochan ‐ Peace Hills Insurance

“Overall, it was one of the best experiences I have had escorting a group to a golf facility and I have done hundreds!”
  - Ginny Golding ‐ CPGA

“I have worked with many venues and event coordinators and your service and that of your staff was top notch from the beginning to the end. You seem to really care and that’s what makes all the difference.“
  - Chantal Schauch ‐ Power to Be

“My past experience is that GolfBC takes the tournament experience to a new and very high standard and it is an absolute pleasure to deal with anyone associated with GolfBC."
  - Larry Best ‐ Canadian Property Tax Association
